Generally, a download manager enables downloading of large files or multiples files in one session. Many web browsers, such as Internet Explorer 9, include a download manager. Stand-alone download managers also are available, including the Microsoft Download Manager. If you do not have a download manager installed, and still want to download the file(s) you've chosen, please note: • You may not be able to download multiple files at the same time. In this case, you will have to download the files individually. (You would have the opportunity to download individual files on the 'Thank you for downloading' page after completing your download.) • Files larger than 1 GB may take much longer to download and might not download correctly. • You might not be able to pause the active downloads or resume downloads that have failed. The Microsoft Download Manager solves these potential problems. It gives you the ability to download multiple files at one time and download large files quickly and reliably. It also allows you to suspend active downloads and resume downloads that have failed. Here are my requirements: • The main page must allow the user to create a new 'File'. • The file must be an excel sheet template that i will style to my liking. • After the user creates a new 'File', the Excel sheet is opened in the webpage for them to edit. They can save it and reopen later. • Many other users will create new 'files' also - same process - same template. If i change the template then any new files use the new template. • When files are created the user must put it into a section that high level describes the location of our plant that the 'file' is relevant for. E.g Some users will put files under the 'Company Shipping category' category and others the 'Company receiving category'. • Any user can search any or all 'files' for full textual searches and also within categories of our company plant (as described in item 5) Is all this possible and what is the easiest method - Any examples of this would be great. Thanks, Damo. Hi, This should be simple. ## For your queries 1-5, here are the steps 1. Create a New Document Library 2. When creating new librarys, choose excel as a default template 3. Create the library 4. Once library is created, Go to Library Settings > Advanced Settings > You will see an option to edit the default template. Here you can Edit the excel templete as per your requirement 5. Create another column in your library 'Plant Location' of type 'choice' of any other type that you require ## For your query - 6, i think Sharepoint OOB search will take care of this automatically. Hope this helps. --------------- Regards Ankur.
